But we’ll get through it, because we always do. We’ll find a way to make it work, even if it’s not ideal. After all, that’s just what South Africans do.

How do I check my Eskom load shedding?
Eskom is the South African electricity public utility, responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in South Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
As we move into Stage 2 of the load shedding process, please be aware that the frequency of the scheduled blackouts will double. This means that over a four day period, you can expect to be without power for two hours at a time on six occasions. Alternatively, if the eight day cycle is in effect, you will be without power for four hours at a time on six occasions. Please make sure you are prepared for these extended periods without power by stocking up on supplies and making sure your backup generators are in good working order.
